Browser Extensions
Here's a list of useful browser extensions that people have found useful, and a short description of what they do. Check them out!
Loom
With Loom, you can record your screen, voice, and face to create an instantly shareable video in less time than it would take to type an email.
You can save to your account, and there is a fairly generous free tier as long as you don't need to save more than 20 videos at a time.
Web Vitals
Web Vitals are quality signals key to delivering great UX on the web. This extension measures the Core Web Vitals, providing instant feedback on loading, interactivity and layout shift metrics.
It is consistent with how these metrics are measured by Chrome and reported to other Google tools (e.g. Chrome User Experience Report, Page Speed Insights, Search Console).
Colour Contrast Checker
Check the contrast between different colour combinations against WCAG standards.
There's an accompanying website to go with this with a few extra features.
ColorZilla
Advanced Eyedropper, Color Picker, Gradient Generator and other colorful goodies.
uBlock Origin Lite
An efficient blocker: easy on memory and CPU footprint, and yet can load and enforce thousands more filters than other popular blockers out there.
